About Andre LaFond
Andre was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. In 2014 he moved to Arizona and settled down in Maricopa. Andre and his wife, Kaylie, live in the Rancho El Dorado subdivision with their two dogs and two cats. In his spare time Andre enjoys spending time outdoors camping, fishing, target shooting, and off-roading in his Wrangler. He can often be found around the community, whether it's at a Democratic meeting, city event, or shopping at the Ace Hardware for supplies to fix his irrigation system!
With his lifelong commitment to community, honor, and law & order; Andre has what it takes to be the next Constable for Maricopa/Stanfield Justice Court Precinct #4.
Experience and Qualifications:
Andre is the third generation of his family to earn Eagle Scout. This achievement is the culmination of years of his youth devoted to leadership training, a community-centered mindset, and a belief in self-sacrifice for others. These skills and traits have become the foundation of his career and life.
Private Law Enforcement
After the Army Andre wanted to serve his community. He found a career in the Loss Prevention/Asset Protection and security industry. His career has lasted over 14 years and allows him to actively stop crimes, take criminals into custody, investigate wrong doing, ensure the safety of others, and assist Public Law Enforcement. He has extensive training in interview and interrogation techniques and this aids him in his ability to evaluate a situation. In his career Andre has apprehended hundreds of criminals and has become an expert in handling volatile situations by employing de-escalation tactics to safely resolve conflicts.
While in high school Andre made the decision that his future should be in service to others. This guided him towards military service. After graduation Andre enlisted with the Army and trained for a combat position. During a training exercise he was injured. This injury lead to the ultimate decision to accept an honorable discharge. Although he was unable to complete his service, he is thankful to have had the opportunity to serve.
Andre has volunteered within his community throughout his life. In his teens he participated in outreach activities through the Boy Scouts and organized food drives for his local homeless shelter. As an adult Andre volunteered his time to the Youth and Government program of Illinois.
As a citizen of Maricopa Andre participated in the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program where he learned how to support his community in the event of an emergency situation. Andre is currently involved with the local Democratic Party chapter (COPA DEMS) as a Precinct Committee Person. He has also deployed the Neighborhood Watch Program for Rancho El Dorado and recently graduated from the Maricopa Citizen Police Academy.
